Week after week, it’s now time again to rank the idols…

1. Phillip Phillips

No doubt he’s my no.1, and my favorite to win the show. Every week, he never disappoints his fans. There are some anti-fans though, but I think his true fans outgain the antiS a lot. I just love the way he perform every single week. And yes, he doesn’t need to follow “Diddy” style. I like how Phillip Phillips being Phillip Phillips. I don’t find anything special from Diddy style, really! Stay who you are, Phillips!

Favorite performance: Movin’ Out

Least favorite: Superstition (I still love it though, too difficult to choose)

2. Colton Dixon

He jumped almost to the top of my chart after he sang the song, Lately. I wish Colton to have a stronger vocal like Phillips so the background music or band will not cover his voice especially when performing live. I need to hear him more, before he can replace Phillips.

Favorite performance: Lately

Least favorite: Studio - Broken Heart, Live - Everything

3. Joshua Ledet

People always think that Joshua’s singing is too over. Well, I can still accept it, in the level of “LOVE IT!”. Really. Now just one thing, other than soulful songs, will he perform well too in other genres? He’s not gonna win the show, but at least he is a good singer, and someone who can entertain me. LOL

Favorite performance: When A Man Loves A Woman

Least favorite: She’s Got A Way

4. Jessica Sanchez

Her style always overwhelm me. And if she shines every week like how she did in Whitney’s week, she is definitely going to win Idol this season. At this point, it’s still a guy for the win. Don’t be overconfident, that’s all. The rest, I think all of us have nothing to worry anymore.

Favorite performance: I Will Always Love You

Least favorite: Sweet Dreams

5. Hollie Cavanagh

I’m sorry to push her down to no.5. I love her singing ballad, but not 100% perfection yet. Like what Jimmy Iovine said, she has the technique, but not as soulful as Jessica. And she seemed to go down and further down after The Power of Love performance. Same as Joshua’s case, some uptempo songs maybe? Will see. 

Favorite performance: All the Man that I Need

Least favorite: Honesty

6. Elise Testone

Forget about her “attitude”, she is getting better and better in her performances. And Whole Lotta Love totally shocked me. I was like, who was that? But, she’s the kind of contestant which IF YOU DON’T PERFORM WELL THIS WEEK, YOU’LL DEFINITELY GO HOME. Good luck, ELISE. 

Favorite performance: Whole Lotta Love

Least favorite: No idea. LOL. Not really into her during the past

7. Skylar Laine

To be honest, I’m bit tired of her. Not hate, but the feeling of “I’m ok if you are eliminated”. Her style on stage is good, I think it is her voice which makes me feel boring now. As you can see, she entered the Bottom 3 last week, that’s the sign. Be careful, country girl. Maybe you should sing GOOD GIRL!

Favorite performance: Gunpowder & Lead 

Least Favorite: Where Do Broken Hearts Go

8. DeAndre Brackensick

No matter how good is his performance from now on, he needs to leave first in my opinion. I can’t accept that kind of voice every week, though he’s really good in singing falsetto, but sorry, not the Idol material. And, judges will not use safe on him, pretty sure.

Favorite performance: A bit of Master Blaster

Least Favorite: Almost all of them, lol
